When a refit is the right answer
A refit keeps what already works: a proven hull, a crew who knows the yacht, a season that does not have to be missed. It is the right answer when the yacht is loved but used differently than she was designed for, when interiors have aged, or when new deck spaces, a beach club or new technology would change how she is enjoyed.
How we plan a refit
We begin with the yacht as she is: survey, drawings, class status, the owner's list. Structure, stability and the rules decide what can move; we find those limits early and design within them, so every change is known before the yard period begins. The design is agreed in full before the first panel comes off.
Design and yard, one line of responsibility
The studio designs the interiors and exteriors. Astra Nord, the shipyard founded by Theodoros Fotiadis, plans and manages the yard work for the owner, north and south: in Northern Germany and in Athens, with the owner's captain and representative at the table throughout. One group carries the project from survey to sea trials.
Sweet Maryi, 52 metres
