For brokers, family offices and captains.

Most owners arrive through someone they trust. If that is you, here is what the studio sends, and how we work together.

Brokers

Something you can put in front of a client: the general arrangement, the technical specification and the renderings for any design in the portfolio, with the build route behind it. Every design is drawn to be built, so the yacht in the images is the yacht the client would get — and the yard behind it is ours. Astra Nord is our own shipyard in Germany, and every design we draw is built there, so you are never showing a client a drawing that still has to find a builder. If a client's brief does not match an existing design, say what they are looking for and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right studio for it.

Family offices

Who your principal would be dealing with, how a design becomes a build, who carries responsibility at each stage, and what documentation exists at handover. Questions in writing are welcome and answered in writing. Your principal deals with one counterparty rather than a designer in one country and a yard in another: the shipyard, Astra Nord, is ours, so the design, the build and the documentation answer to the same people. Conversations are confidential as a matter of course, and nothing is shared without your agreement.

Captains and owner's representatives

The deck plans and the specification, the naval architecture and engineering route, and how changes are handled once a build is under way. You will find no surprises in the drawings and no gaps in the numbers, because they are worked through with independent naval architects and engineers before anything is presented. Nor will your project be handed to a yard that has never seen the drawings: Astra Nord is our own shipyard, in the room from the first sketch, and it builds everything this studio draws. If you are advising on a refit, the same applies.

What you receive

General arrangement
Every deck drawn to scale for the designs you ask about: owner and guest areas, crew circulation, service routes, tenders and toys.
Technical specification
Dimensions, tonnage, accommodation, machinery and propulsion, class and flag — enough for a client's technical adviser to read properly.
Renderings and film
Exterior and interior visuals, made within the group by Elysium Brands, in a form you can show.
The build route
The shipyard, the facility and the team behind the build, with Astra Nord.

Working together

Why put our name forward rather than a yard's? Because the drawing and the build sit under one line of responsibility. When your client asks whether it can be built, the answer comes back in the same conversation, not three weeks later. And you will not have to go back to that client and tell them the yacht has changed on its way to the water: what is agreed is what is built.

What we commit to, for anyone who brings us an owner:

First look
New designs are shown to the people we work with before they are published or taken to a show. What you bring to a client is not something they have already seen in a magazine.
The introduction is yours
Tell us in confidence who you are bringing, and that introduction stands with us. We do not go around the person who made it. It is how this studio has always worked, and we would not write it down if we did not mean it.
We come with you
To the meeting, the show or the client's office, with the drawings and, where it helps the room, a scale model. You present. We answer the technical questions.
Answers the same day
Questions on tonnage, layout, class or the build route go to the people who drew the yacht and come back the same day. Nothing waits for a committee.

How it works

Nothing downloads automatically. You write, we read it, and the documentation comes back from the studio, usually the same day. It means you get people to ask rather than a file to decipher.

Introduce yourself.

Your name, your company and your role are enough to begin. Tell us which designs interest you, or describe the brief you are working to.
